Sleepy Boy

Hi, everybody!

This time, I thought I'd take you on a tour of my sleeping habits...

When I got home from the hospital, I was happy to sleep in the cradle just about anytime...

Well, now I am 10 weeks old, and getting bigger by the day, so some things have changed!

For one thing, the cradle is getting a little more cramped. In fact, I went to the doctor yesterday, and I now weigh 11 pounds, 14 ounces and am 23 1/4 inches long!

I sleep in the crib at night now, in my very own room. (Don't worry, Mommy doesn't let me sleep in my skivvies. Sometimes I hang out in there while she changes my clothes, too.)

Daddy even hooked me up with some tunes for my nursery.

As for naptime... That's a different story. I never sleep in my crib or cradle for longer than 15 minutes.

I'm happy to nap in my bouncer once in a while.

But my most favorite place to nap is in my swing.

Maybe someday Mommy will be able to convince me to sleep in the nursery at naptime, but I guess I can't be perfect in every area!

Things That Grow (or Don't)

Trent's latest hobby is hydroponics. No soil, just water and nutrients.

Thanks to him, we'll have fresh salad greens...

...and herbs all through the winter.

Usually, when Melody takes care of plants, they don't fare so well...Oops. At least one of us has a green thumb. (Too bad the other one's thumb is BLACK!)

That's okay. At least Melody is pretty good at taking care of one thing in our house that grows.

Play Time

As the weeks go by, Camden is becoming more and more social.

Who can resist that adorable toothless grin?

Christmas Photos

Finally... pictures of the festivities.

Christmas morning was a kick. Trent and Melody took turns passing the baby back and forth and opening presents.

Then Camden got to open his stocking. Santa brought him a rubber ducky and a teething ring.

Camden loved Christmas morning.

We have ancestors from Germany (Trent's side) and Spain (Melody's side), and since Three Kings Day (Jan. 6) is celebrated in both countries, we thought it would be fun to celebrate it in our family, too!

So, we left out our shoes for the Three Kings...

...and made some "Crown Cookies" with pretty "jewels."

The Wise Men left a Baby Pooh in Cam's baby shoe!

Camden thought that was pretty cool.

Blessing Day

Last Sunday, New Year's Eve, was Camden's blessing day at church. Melody's parents and brother and sister-in-law, Adam and Nora, came in for the event and to spend a few days with our little family. They even managed to get here in spite of the blizzards!

Proud parents...

Grandma and Grandpa Feist...

...and Granmy and Grampy Harrison, in town all the way from Virginia.

Mommy loves her baby.

And by the end of the day, Camden was just plain tuckered out.
