Almost Christmas

Camden donned his Santa hat today in preparation for Christmas! Such a festive little guy!

I know I'm cute, but stop taking pictures of me, and pick me up, Mom!!!

Snowed In

Well... We were officially snowed in yesterday with what the media is calling the Colorado Holiday Blizzard of 2006. Trent spent the day clearing walks and driveways for neighbors and grandparents with his snowblower. Here are some pictures of our winter wonderland.

Our across-the-street neighbors are going to have some fun digging out their car!

But best of all, the sun came out yesterday afternoon after the storm was over.

And today is gorgeous... blue skies, melting snow, gleaming icicles hanging from the eaves... perfect weather for meeting the neighbors and helping each other dig out. (Except for Trent, who reported to work at his regular time this morning. Crazy, eh? Only in Denver.)

Baby Boss

The "Baby Boss," as Trent calls him, has been nursing about every two hours around the clock for the last week and a half, and we finally understand why... Our little man has just had a major growth spurt. At his doctor's apointment yesterday, Camden weighed in at 9 lbs 2 1/2 oz! That means he's gained about a pound and a half in the mysterious last week and a half. Dr. Rich was very impressed and told Mom and Baby to keep up the good work.

We're pretty sure that he's reaching the end of the feeding frenzy, as he's finally started sleeping longer stretches again. Whew! We're sure learning who rules the roost and makes the schedules around our house nowadays.
("Who me?" he says. "But look how cute and innocent I am!")

Guess Who?

We came across a photo of Baby Trent 1 day after he came home from the hospital, and the resemblance to our little Camden is uncanny!

Check it out:

By the way... If you'll notice the date... Camden is a whole month old today!

Christmas is just a week away, and Melody finally finished making Camden's Christmas stocking.

That means we have 3 hanging this year.

2 Weeks Young

This past week, Camden had his 2-week visit with the doc, and he is doing awesome. Since his well baby visit, he's grown an inch and gained a pound, which means he's now up to 20 1/2 inches and 7 pounds, 12 ounces. He's healthy, happy, and doing great.

After his 10-day "vacation" to help out mom and new baby, Trent went back to work, but the boys still make time to hang out in the evenings.

Just in time for Trent to go back, Granmy Marie swooped in from Virginia to help out.

Camden loves his Granmy.

Melody is doing better and better every day and is healing well after her surgery. Here are some before/after shots:

Before (Camden's b-day)

After (2 weeks postpartum)

Even when he's asleep, Cam keeps tabs on his mommy and daddy. Here's his classic one-eye peek. The little squirt also loves to sleep with one or both of his hands over his head.

Wow! We can't believe it's December already! Trent convinced us to get bundled up and go check out some Christmas lights around town.

One of our family traditions is to drive downtown and see the City and County Building's Christmas display.

And, of course, our favorite Christmas gift is already here:
our little elf.

P.S. Trent finished the bathroom for us about 1 a.m. before we went to the hospital to have Camden -- we just forgot to put on the final picture. So, here it is! Doesn't it look awesome?! Trent is the man!
