Home for Christmas

We flew to VA for Christmas and had a total blast! Thanks for having us, Granmy and Poppa. Here are some fun moments from the trip:

Getting in our garb for the annual Harrison Family Christmas Pageant and Jerusalem Supper on Christmas Eve. (This pic is one of my favorites, so I had to put it at the top!)

Granmy brought a "ba-la-la" (balloon) shaped like "Booh-bah" (Pooh Bear) to the airport. A very popular decision with the littlest Feist!

Camden loves his Granmy. :)

First time meeting my only nephew (and Cam's very first baby cousin), Samuel, 7 weeks old. What a cutie!

Awwww.... cute little family. Adam, Nora, and Samuel.

The babies were definitely a hit!

Samuel's very first Christmas morning -- hanging with his mommy, aunt and cousin. (Thanks to my amazing sister-in-law, Nora, for letting me nab tons of her pictures, as my camera/battery situation was not the best on this trip!)

Christmas Tree Adventures

Our very first fenced Christmas tree.

Verrry interesting.

Who me? But I'm too cute to be in trouble.

Buchtel Grand Opening

Trent just had his second successful grand opening with Wells Fargo... only this time he's on to bigger and better things downtown. Here are some highlights from the festivities:

Family photo in the stagecoach.

Cam's first time meeting Santa. ("Hey! Who's this big guy with the beard?")

Flirting with an elf.

Waiting ever so patiently.

Wow!

My very own candy-cane "bah-lah-lah" (balloon). A big hit.

Lots of excitement in the new lobby.

Feist Family Christmas Tree 2007

One of our Christmas traditions is to go up into the mountains together to cut our family Christmas tree. This year was Camden's first time coming along.

Our little boy was hilarious. He chattered the whole time and kept giggling and patting Trent's head as he bounced along on his daddy's back.

Here I am trying to look slick in my several layers of not-so-flattering lumberjack gear. :) Actually, the weather was amazingly beautiful, so we didn't need as many layers as we usually do.

Trent was such a good sport! At least we didn't have to drag the tree through snow and ice this year.

Hike's over, tree's cut and buckled down: Time to skedaddle back down the mountain. Fun family memory!

Eating with a Spoon

Spoon or brush? When you're a year old, anything can be multipurpose.

Handsome Little Dude

"Manana"s Anyone?

Here's Camden enjoying his latest favorite food, which he requests at least a couple times a day.

New Talent

So, the other day, I was right in the middle of something when I heard Cam wake up from his nap. He seemed to be in a good mood. I could hear him in there, giggling and babbling and playing with his toys, so I took a couple minutes and finished what I was doing. When I went in to get him, here's what I saw:

Yes, our baby has a new talent. Now, not only can he take off his socks and hide them all over the house, but his pants as well. *sigh* I try to keep my winter baby dressed... I do... I can just picture him in there: "Hmm... I'm getting bored. Bye-bye, bear. (throws it over the railing) Bye-bye pants, socks, crib toys. Ohh, hi, Mama."

Camden's 1st Birthday

Here are some highlights from Camden's first birthday party.

Ah, the cake...

Here's a "before" picture of the cake Mommy made with love. :)

And here's the birthday boy enjoying it.

Fun gifts! What a stash!

Also, here's a little shout-out to the Harrison side! We wish you guys could have been there in person. (Thank you for the fun, Camden-size fire engine!) Hope you enjoy the "virtual party." :)

Hunky Hubby Survey

Okay, okay... so usually our blog is not very text-heavy, but I just got tagged twice and Trent is away at a campout, :( so I'm going to give in... Emily tagged me with this one.

What is your husband's name? Trent

How long have you been together? Married for 5 1/2 years; friends for almost 10 years now.

How long did you date? dated for 2 months, engaged for 2 months (after knowing each other for 4 years)

Who eats more? Probably me. He's not a huge eater. I used to make him lunches to take to work, but stopped when I started finding moldy sandwiches in the backseat of his truck.

Who said "I love you" first? Trent

Who is taller? Trent is 6 inches taller than me.

Who is smarter? Our different styles of intellegence complement each other. He's the mathematician, and I'm the English whiz. Hence, banker and editor.

Whose temper is worse? Mine. I've got that little latin flare sometimes. He's so mellow and patient. That's one of the things I love most about him.

Who does the laundry? I do.

Who does the dishes? Most of the time, I do. But I love it when he jumps in and helps.

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? From the foot of the bed, I do now, because it was more feasible to put the cradle on that side of the room when Camden was born.

Who pays the bills? We split them up.

Who cooks dinner? We love to cook together.

Who drives when you are together? Usually Trent.

Who is more stubborn? Good question.

Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? Neither.

Who kissed who first? Trent kissed me.

Where was your first kiss? At his house. We were watching "First Knight."

Who asked who out first? Trent asked me to come out from BYU to CO for his mission homecoming. That's when we started dating. Does that count?

Who proposed? Trent drove from CO to UT to surprise me with a ring for my 22nd birthday. Best present I've ever had.

Who is more sensitive? Tie.

Who has more friends? No clue.

Who wears the pants in the family: Camden (ha ha... Trent).

Where did you meet your husband? In the singles ward in FL! My dad was the bishop, and Trent was my hometeacher.

What was the first thing you said to your husband? The first time I remember talking to him was at a singles dance. He was DJ-ing and was on the stage, and I sauntered up and said, "Hey, hometeacher! When are you going to come visit me?"

Where was your first date? P.F. Chang's. Trent had invited a bunch of people, and I was the only one who ended up going with him. He didn't know it was a date until the end, when he was the one who got to pay the check. (Hey! I'm a lady!) He still picks on me about that one.

Where did you get engaged? In my cozy little basement apartment called, "The Underground." (Seriously, there was a sign out front that said "The Underground.")

Where were you married? Orlando Temple.

Where was the honeymoon? Florida Keys.

If you could have changed anything about it what would it have been? Not a thing.

I tag Elizabeth Johnson.

Second Tag

Okay, Ash... this one's for you.

1. I absolutely love... my boys.

2. I don't care if... I never get my Master's degree.

3. I like to... have a clean house. It makes me feel so at-peace and put-together.

4. I play... with my adorable baby for at least a couple hours a day. It's so fun to have an excuse to be silly once in a while and to have someone who thinks I am hilarious when I'm being goofy.

5. I have a horrible habit of... stalling before I go to bed. Just ask my husband (and my parents when I was little). Trent says when Camden starts doing it, I have to deal with it because I'm the one who passed it on. Although I have it on good authority that he wasn't such a quick-to-bed kiddo either.

6. I will never... forget how blessed I am to have ended up married to my best friend.

I tag Shalene.

Dining Room

Trent bought us a new dinette with a gift card from work. It matches the hutch perfectly! Thanks, hunny.
It's fun to finally have a grown-up table, even though it meant retiring Trent's kitchen table from college. Now, my living area is complete... mwuahahaha. :)

And here's Cam sitting at the computer helping me import the pictures. Isn't he so cute and helpful? (Oh, come on... You didn't really think I could do a post without my little guy in it, did you?)

Our Adorable Nephew!

Samuel Jeffrey Harrison was born Nov. 4. He weighed 6 lbs. 14 oz. and was 21 inches long! He is sooooo cute. Congratulations, Adam and Nora. We can't wait to see you 3 at Christmas!
