“You go on. You set one foot in front of the other, and if a thin voice cries out, somewhere behind you, you pretend not to hear, and keep going.” ― Geraldine Brooks, "March"

Aunt Donna
Trent's aunt and uncle, Robert and Donna, were in town this weekend, so they finally got to meet little Liam.
Donna and Liam
Donna is really special to me, and to my boys, too. No matter how long it's been between our visits, it always seems like no time has passed. I'm so glad we both married into the Feist family.
Cousins!
Second cousins, actually. Connor and Camden. They are such great buddies. Wish we lived closer! I guess I should also note, for the sake of family history, that this pic was taken right before Cam dropped his pants (in front of the girl cousins, too) and peed in the grass right behind them. *sigh* Yes, and about 15 feet from an open bathroom, mind you. We had him report/apologize to the parents involved, so lesson learned, I guess. But, still! Geesh! S-T-I-N-K-E-R! Always keeping us on our toes.

Liam's Blessing Day
What a beautiful day, full of fun and family. We missed everyone who couldn't make it, but you were definitely here in spirit.
Our little Liam, so handsome, was dressed in his mommy's blessing outfit (handmade by Mima) and his daddy's little shoes and socks. Camden wore the same outfit. I love that it represents the collaboration of our two families.
After the church service...

Granmy and Poppa came out from VA for the celebration.
Lovin' on the grandbabies.
Feist side: Great Grandma Tronette, Grandma, and Grandpa.
Lauri (Ed's little sister) and her husband Roy came to the service, too. We love those guys. They are so cool.

Mis padres.
Liam and Trent have an amazing connection. Daddy is definitely his favorite person, and he always gets the biggest smiles. It is so fun to watch those two together.

Full house! It was so great to see everyone, and fun to introduce the family to Liam.

Feist Family Visitors
Grandma, Grandpa, and Uncle Trevor came to visit us at the hospital the day after Liam was born. The three of them have really pitched in to help during this time of transition, and we are so grateful for their efforts.
Liam meets Uncle Beebo
Beebo was the first one on the scene the night we left the house to go to the hospital, and he hung out with Cam and fed him dinner while they waited for Grandma and Grandpa to come pick him up. Trev was rooting for Liam to share his birthday, Feb. 4, but our little turkey decided he was cooked enough in time to be a January baby instead (just barely, though!). Trevor has definitely relaxed into his role as an uncle over the past 4 years. Cam adores him, and I'm sure Liam will too. :)

Both boys loved being rocked by their Grandpa in the hospital. Cam used to give him the "one-eye" if he'd stop to let him know, "Hey, I like that. Keep going please!"

Camden spent the week at Camp Grandma, which was a huge help for us. Plus, Camden had a blast, which makes it all the better. We even got a bonus night, the evening we got home from the hospital, to allow the three of us to settle in at home before the little tornado came to join us! Thanks, Feists, for taking such good care of our little growing family. We love you.

Camden is 4!
That's right! Our little man isn't so little anymore.
He requested a Buzz Lightyear spaceship cake, and I did my best to oblige: funfetti flavor with buttercream and marshmallow fondant, covered graham cracker wings, ice cream cones for the burners, and also two dozen thematic cupcakes per the Daddy's request.
This is the toy I was trying to make it look like.
No shortage of presents ...
... or hugs :) ...
... or good company.
Lots and lots of fun new stuff to play with.
Then time to dig in to the cake and home-made cotton-candy ice cream. Both were a hit!
Our little growing family, complete with baby bump (28 weeks)!
Dad lit the candles. Can you tell?
Good times! Happy Birthday, little buddy.
