Trent and Camden have been watching a lot of Soap Queen TV lately. We figured since we have 3 beehives now and a cool solar wax melter that T built, we ought to know how to make some things with beeswax besides just candles.

And now ... let the Feist family cosmetic production begin! (interspersed with pictures of my cute boys staying busy)

Homemade, from-scratch lye soap, just like the pioneers used to make!

Of course Trent built his own molds and this cool cutter from scrap wood in is workshop. (He is so amazing.)

We didn't use any coloring this time, so it's all just that natural honey color because of our wax.

Mmmm ... fresh lavendar soap. The hardest part is waiting 6 weeks for it to cure before we can use it!

The baby supervisor in the background says he approves. :)

 The round ones are shaving soap, molded inside a PVC pipe and fragranced with a more "manly" scent.

We interrupt this program for a CUTE BABY ALERT! Here's Liam playing (and teething) while we work in the kitchen.

We (and by "we" I mean mostly Trent) also made:

hand salve infused with lemongrass, calendula, and lavendar and ...

lip balm flavored with our honey. Ah!

Camden and Daddy also made some bath fizzies. They don't use beeswax, but they were fun to make. The boys used one in their bath last night, and they loved it!

Harry Potter!

Our pediatrician has hosted parties and premiers for the past two Harry Potter films. This time, we got tickets. They were through a local charity, There With Care, that supports families of children with critical illnesses. We had a blast, and it was all for a good cause, which is even cooler!

Wednesday night, at the advance screening of Harry Potter 7, Part 2:

Moaning Myrtle waited in line with us.

Trent and Melody waiting for the movie to start.

200 of the volunteers arrived on the Knight Bus, complete with shrunken head hanging on the rearview mirror. (*whistles* I'd stop and pick him up fo sho!)

Saturday night, at "The Festival of the Phoenix" at Dr. Jody's house:

Sir Nicholas (aka Nearly Headless Nick) and me having a wee bit o' the bubbly, non-alcoholic of course. ;)

At Hagrid's house, behind the mansion. He had a bunch of icky bugs and tarantulas and stuff, too! 

We are getting old, and are sometimes pretty boring, but we are still in love.

Fourth of July in VA

Spent the Fourth with the fam. Liam met lots of new family members, including ... 

... Mima, his great-grandma ...

... Uncle Jared, Aunt Katie, and cousin Libbie (who we met for the first time, too) ...

... Aunt Liz ...

... and Uncle Joseph.

Camden played outside with Auntie Becka.

We hung out with Granmy.

And Poppa waited on us in the kitchen (no surprise there).

Camden did magic tricks.

The boys played with fire and smoke.

The mommies took care of the babies.

Joseph blew up a barbie. (Yep.)

We pretended to be normal.

But really we're all a little crazy.

Granmy loved up her grandkids. We missed Sammy, though.

We worked on a big puzzle while it poured rain on the evening of the Fourth.

Only Becka went out to run around in the rain. She does that sometimes.

Daddy and Camden made a cool sky lantern. 

Then Dad and Trent went on 19 roller-coaster rides at Kings Dominion. But we don't have any pictures of that. As my dad would say, "Good times."
