9-month-old Liam

Our babyest turned 9 months old on Oct. 31! He is now crawling around getting into e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g! (Who knew mobility would transform our mild-mannered little Liam into such a busy boy?!) He especially loves to eat, play pat-a-cake, bang on pots and pans, and follow his big brother around.

Here are the 9-mo stats:

Weight: 18 lbs. 14 oz. (23%)
Length: 28.12 inches (45%)
Head: 18.25 inches (80%)

Liam's First Halloween

Captain Point Sword and his sidekick, Little Wing, hanging out with Granmy in VA before the trunk-or-treat.

Cutest little bat I ever did see.
Camden actually invented a superhero called Captain Point Sword and has been play-acting for the last 6 mo. or so. When I suggested we design the costume and make it for Halloween, he was ecstatic. So, he and I drew pictures, and I made everything to his exact specifications, right down to the stick figure on the tummy. Funny kid. (I was quite relieved that sidekick "Little Wing's" costume could be bought at a store. Whew.)

Saving the world is serious business.

Sunday Afternoon & My Little Pumpkin Face

We made pumpkin spice cookies, and Liam had his first opportunity to lick the beaters. (No egg in the recipe; I feel totally justified.) And lick it he did! There wasn't a morsel left on that beater! Thanks for the awesome recipe, Auntie Katie. :)

Yep! He's a fan.

Cute brothers. Good times!

Fawkes and Hedwig

Meet the two newest members of the Feist household: Fawkes and Hedwig, gold-breasted waxbills, and Camden's early birthday present from Trent and me. They are the smallest members of the finch family and are about 3 inches tall, from head to tail.

They are a mated pair and are pretty cute together.
Fawkes, the male, is easy to spot because of his bright colors (hence "Fawkes" as in the phoenix from Harry Potter), especially his red eye shadow. Hedwig, obviously, is the female.

Camden loves his birdies! (And Trent is ecstatic that I've agreed to having pets in the house.)

HAH!

Wow. I really adore my crazy boys. But this is so me right now.
Worth it? Yes. Exhausting? Yes. :)
